Japanese Affiliate Manager - Sportsbook Focus
We're looking for a self-driven individual with a flexible mindset with strong knowledge of the Japanese market to support our B2B partner. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for Sports betting, marketing and most importantly sales.
As an Affiliate Manager, you will be responsible for the recruitment, and management of our affiliates across the Japanese markets and brands. Your main role will be to collaborate with your colleagues to expand and execute the acquisition strategy.
Excellent communication and people skills are key to succeed in this role to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with top affiliate partners as well as to work closely with internal stakeholders.
We have offices in Malta and Malmo, Sweden, however this role can also be based remotely. Ideally the selected candidate can work CET hours.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Affiliate Manager you will (or any other role as the Company may determine from time to time), the selected person will be responsible for:
- Become the main point of contact for all sports affiliates and selected casino partners.
- Be Responsible for acquiring, developing, and maintaining the relationships with Japanese affiliates for all brands with a primary focus on sportsbooks.
- Assist the team lead to also proactively research and contact new Casino affiliates.
- Set your affiliates up for success; ensure that they have the appropriate media/assets to push compelling brand focused communications.
- Work with the central affiliate team and local team to discuss affiliate deals including positions, fees, rev share etc.
- Manage affiliate contacts in Salesforce. Ensure all new contacted affiliates are being followed upon and documented correctly.
- Be a win-win negotiator for deals, promotions, and incentives with affiliates.
- Planning and executing affiliate marketing promotions around sports and casinos.
- Work with the Product Managers and Japanese team to expand and execute acquisition campaigns outside of affiliate channels.
- Collaborate with the internal Japanese team and product teams, especially on commercial matters to continuously improve marketing campaigns, offering the most competitive and effective CRM.
- Bring acquisition proposals to the table and see them through to their results.
- Convert inbound queries and requests from new affiliates into onboarded affiliates whenever possible.
- Meet and develop relationships with both new and existing affiliates; attend conferences and various networking events (when the pandemic allows for such activities)
- Work closely with the Sportsbook team to ensure a strong product offering for the Japanese market.
- Responsible for hitting targets especially, on the sports betting vertical such as FTDs and NGR.

This is what we’re looking for:
- Experience in a similar role within the iGaming Industry.
- Knowledge of the Japanese market.
- Highly passionate about sports and betting.
- Japanese speaking/writing skills.
- A background in or a passion for sales is crucial for this position.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical, with a proven track record in structuring, monitoring, and analyzing affiliate deals and performance.
- Strong negotiation skills, with previous experience in affiliate contract negotiations.
