VMware has an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic and creative team. The VMware Cloud SDR Specialist owns responsibility for understanding and prospecting for a growing Cloud Services portfolio with a particular focus on the Commercial segment. This position provides a unique career opportunity to be a key member of our sales development team. This role will specialize in identifying qualified leads from demand generation activity and developing these to generate a new pipeline in Salesforce. You will work on specific programs & campaigns designed to create and develop a sales pipeline. This position requires excellent communication skills that result in meeting or exceeding the assigned qualified lead targets. You will interact with field sales, internal sales, marketing, partners, prospects and customers to maximize the total Customer Experience - this gives you also a great internal network.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • You will be the voice and face of VMware qualifying new prospects from demand generation activities
  • You will be responsible for building and developing initial customer relationships and helping the customer realize their ambitions to transition to a hybrid or multi-cloud environment
  • Prospect, qualify and develop new prospects for appointments for our VMware Cloud Solutions 
  • You will be working as an SDR Specialist knowing and understanding our Multi-Cloud approach and solutions and being able to spot opportunities and projects with the VMware customers
  • You will increase awareness of our Multi-Cloud Solutions working on specific sales campaigns
  • You will research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and obtain business requirements
  • Work closely with inside sales teams to determine a strategic approach
  • Really learn how to successfully manage and overcome prospect objections and still be hungry for the next call
  • Meet or exceed assigned lead metric goals
  • Manage and document the lead cycle in VMware’s CRM system
  • Promote, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of VMware Cloud Solutions, industry trends, and competition

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • Fluent in Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, French, Italian, German or Hebrew and fluent English
  • A persistent, self-starter with a track record of success
  • Credible follow-up and cold calling experience to multiple executive levels within an organization is a plus
  • Pre-call planning, outbound, and proactive cold-calling is an advantage
  • Opportunity qualification and objection handling
  • Structure and control a call
  • Time and territory management
  • Accurate data entry and management of leads in a CRM system
  • A team player with the ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment
  • Excellent phone, listening, and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and operate successfully in a rapidly changing environment
  • Comfortable discussing technology with customers

He has been working and living in several countries such as Italy, Germany, Ireland, and Spain and believes in empowering talented individuals. He believes that leadership comes from attitude and not title or seniority and empowers his team members to bring new ideas to the table to have success. His management philosophy is about encouraging everyone on the team to be independent thinkers and not feel like he is looking over their shoulders. The team that you will work in will be covering the main regions in EMEA and will be counting 20 individuals.

Where is this role located?

Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
