The Technical translator (English to French & Dutch ) will ensure that Eurostar Fleet procedures and maintenance procedures are meticulously translated and comprehensible for EIL’s continental maintenance suppliers' depots.

You will establish and maintain translation standards in terms of quality and efficiency for Eurostar Fleet procedures and maintenance procedures to ensure they are “fit for purpose” to enable their implementation by EIL’s continental maintenance suppliers in the most safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate maintenance procedures with the appropriate technical wording for our 2 EIL’s continental maintenance suppliers (contracted by EIL for maintenance services rendered)
• Adapt existing translations to conform to new versions of documents
• Use translation memory software, such as SDL Trados and OmegaT to ensure consistency and efficiency of translation
• Translate a wide variety of technical documents for continental maintenance depots.
• Be accountable for a constant high quality of translation so, it meets the documentation standard requirement for EIL’s continental partners to enable a safe, fast and efficient implementation of procedures
• Contribute to discussions with end users across the three depots when needed
• Produce general office work relating to the finishing and dispatch of translations

Requirements

• C2 level in French, Dutch and English with experience in the rolling stock terminology
• A degree or university level in a language discipline
• To be self-motivated with an ability to work quickly and proofread
• Excellent writing skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (formatting skills, etc.)
• Excellent time management, organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with translation software packages, e.g., Trados, OmegaT
• Familiarity with tools/method that improve translation process efficiency (RPA, workflow, etc.)
• A professional translation experience
• Experience working in a Rolling Stock environment
