For our Global Business Services located in Łódź we will establish a Tactical Buying Hub for Indirect Spend supporting regional Procurement strategies and managing substantial amount of spend.

Due to the expansion beyond the existing SSC Procurement Operations we are looking for Tactical Buyers ready to join us in a small team eager on conducting new services and helping to create sustainable value through chemistry for customers all over the globe.

You as a Tactical Buyer (GBS) will be in charge of sourcing materials and services on a regional or local level for dedicated Procurement categories, managing the supply market in your area of responsibility receiving realistic quotes by creating competition amongst potential suppliers. Furthermore, closely and actively interact with the Clariant businesses and actively participates in the performance management of the category. In addition you would regularly exchange and align with Procurement Operations (GBS) and Regional Category Managers from Group Procurement Services (GPS) towards category strategy adherence and further development.

Requirements

• Min. Secondary degree preferably in (Industrial) Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent Business Administration with chemical/process technology background          
• 3+ years solid experience in industrial procurement understanding requesters motivation, local supply markets and having defined own procurement strategies                                     
• Experience in having participated in small to mid-size investment projects and successfully negotiated corresponding spot buys and supply contracts                                                 
• Experience in preparation and carrying out RfQs in a competitive market environment incl. TCO analysis                                                                                        
• Sound understanding in maintenance of SAP Outline Agreements and SAP Info Records towards call-off / PO automation                                                             
• Ideally technical acumen towards eProcurement system management / PO automation at the interface towards suppliers, IT and requesters                        
• Language skills: Fluent in English and German, French or Italian would be an advantage
• Well-developed communication skills

• Capable to prioritize during demand peaks

Responsibilities

• Sourcing materials/services in area of responsibility within given sourcing strategies
• Participating in the negotiation process and concluding deals in accordance with delegated responsibility                                                                
• Creating and maintaining corresponding contracts and master data in SAP ERP, participating in the execution of additional agreements with the suppliers                  
• Supports bundling projects towards supply markets/suppliers in close collaboration with GPS Category Management                                                               
• Supports Lean Sigma / optimization projects as a team member                        
• Supporting the category in developing and executing sourcing strategies                       
• Conducting market research and proactively finds new suppliers and alternative sourcing concepts, forecasting prices of strategic spend segments                                                  
• Contributing to monthly reports about market developments in the area of responsibility
• Managing supplier relationship within area of responsibility, contributing to supplier assessment, supplier audits and implementation of the improvements identified
