Purpose

Support the Global Material Master Creation and Maintenance processes; comply with Enterprise Master Data Rules and maintain data quality standards in the Material Master Data. Interface with the Russian SAP project team and business representatives.

Nature and Scope

The Material Master Data Specialist position is in Shared Business Services (SBS), on the Material Master Data team. This is a Global team with Global processes and a diverse customer base. Team member will have the opportunity to interface with customers in all regions around the globe and numerous businesses, although the primary focus will be for any European country, and especially during the Russian SAP implementation.

Material Master Data Specialists support the global Material Master Creation and Maintenance processes. They need to have a strong process orientation that will enable them to work closely with various Business and functional groups globally. They will need to execute the material master processes and meet the overall performance objectives for the business. Successful Material Master Data Specialists must have excellent attention to detail and be capable of multi-tasking and adjust to changing priorities. Candidates should have a background in various aspects of supply chain processes and understand business data requirements. Ideally a candidate will have spent time within the commercial business area working in SAP and have good IT technical skills.

This position is located in the Cornella, Spain, Shared Business Services Center and requires fluency in both English and Russian. Travel opportunities will exist for initial training and occasional SAP implementation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Material Master Creation and Maintenance Processes
• Verify the accuracy of data submitted by the business
• Seek out and fix data errors in SAP
• Create and Modify master data in SAP as required
• Monitor team email, BLAZE/MMCA and ServiceNow queues and make sure requests are being processed within the team SLAs.
• Enforce the Enterprise Master Data Rules
• Participate in Data Cleansing activities with business and functional representatives
• Work closely with other MMD team, business representatives, and Process Owners/Experts
• Work with business and functional groups to ensure compliance with data quality standards and policies
• Use Problem solving skills to resolve material master data and process issues
• Represent Material Master scope on various projects.
• Deliver training to end users as new or enhanced processes are determined.
• Support the testing and implementation of systems and tools (e.g. BLAZE/MMCA) which allow for more automation, simplicity, and increased speed of processing.
• Assist with the interaction in any Russian language situation.

Minimum Requirements And Qualifications
 

• Ideally have at least 3 years’ experience in commercial business area (packaged gases, liquid bulk)
• Fluent English and Russian communication skills, both written and oral; Spanish beneficial
• Ability to bridge cultural and geographical differences and be able to comfortably communicate at all levels.
• Be culturally sensitive to working in a diverse international environment.
